The Glenn Doman method has been proven to work by many parents who have used it. Parents who have not used this method, but have used other means of teaching their children from early years might have noticed that they learn a lot faster than if they were first taught reading at a much later age.

So how does the Glenn Doman method work? The flashcards are called “Bit off Intelligence cards” or “Bits” for short. These consist of large cards with pictures on the front, and information pertaining to that information at the back. They help stimulate infants and children of any age would love working, and learning from them. Working daily with your child in a fun and relaxing manner will really help to increase your child’s learning ability and knowledge.

Glenn Doman is not just any name for a set of flashcards; it is in fact the name of the founder of the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential. Glenn Doman believes that each infant and child whether he/she suffer from a brain injury, or are normal healthy children, can start learning from a very young age.

Glenn Doman believes that children can start learning from the tender age of three months. Not only can they be taught on an intellectual level, but also on a physical level. Using the Glenn Doman flashcards can teach your child the alphabet, and also starts teaching them how to crawl.

Shichida method uses a lot of tools like image play, eye exercises, memory games, picture flash cards, singing, and dancing, story books, playing cards, etc. However, among these the most famous of all these tools is flash cards. The use of these flash cards show how right and left-brain is triggered in one activity, as the instructor while showing the flash card to the child simultaneously says the word. This stimulates both the parts of the brain, one activating the right brain whereas the other one stimulating the left-brain. Moreover, since one flash card is showed to the child in usually less than 1 second, and the cards are not repeated as well, this consequently plays a vital role in developing the child’s photographic memory.

Shichida flash cards help young children to develop both left and right brain since an efficient learning cannot be possible without activating both right and left brain. As the right and left brain are interconnected, so that method should be used to teach young children, which triggers both sides of the brain. However, without knowing what are the functions of right and left brain, people cannot really understand the importance of this method and the Shichida flash cards. Therefore, before moving ahead, you had better look at the functions of the right and left-brain.

The advocacy for parental support in educating children begins from the preparation stage when the kids are just getting ready for preschool. The alphabet and basic mathematical procedures of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are all introduced at home. Flash cards for kids have been utilized in order to polish the memory and work out for the retention of basic concepts to young child’s mind. A three-year-old baby could not be forced to memorize the alphabet but could possibly learn a few letters and numbers through flash cards. These have been considered as the easiest and most effective way of learning and remembering new information. The flash cards summarize the ideas written in a book.

When it comes to educational toys or activities for your toddler, what is the first thing that comes to mind? If you are like most parents, you likely automatically think of the coolest toys on the market. A large number of these toys are educational, but many are also electronic. These toys may encourage your child to learn, but being electronic can sometimes make them difficult to afford.
Some parents may ask why put in all that effort during the first few years of your child's life because babies are merely repeating sounds without understanding meanings. However research has shown that babies as early as four months old are able to learn mathematics, new languages and comprehend written words.

The benefits of educating your baby before your baby reaches the formal years of schooling are enormous. Your child will have more confidence in the classroom compared to their peers and will have enthusiasm for further learning.

The most effective way to train a baby's brain is through using baby flash cards. Maths in particular has been an outstanding subject area for babies to learn and make great progress.
