Each round shows two pictures side by side. Sometimes they are exactly the same and sometimes they are not. Your child taps Same or Different. There is no timer and no wrong-answer buzzer — a miss just invites another look.

For grown-ups
Noticing that two pictures differ is the same skill a child later uses to tell b from d, or was from saw. It is worth practising long before letters arrive, because at this age it is pure looking rather than remembering. If your child answers too fast, ask them to point at one thing that is different before they choose.

What does a same or different game teach?
It builds visual discrimination — the habit of comparing two things feature by feature instead of glancing once. That is the same attention a child needs later to tell similar letters apart.
My child says every pair is the same. Is that normal?
Yes, at three it is common. Try asking what is different about one part of the picture rather than the whole thing, and start with pairs that differ a lot.
